Having completed half of your studies is a reason for celebration!
Just a couple weeks ago, the 4th year students of WMU celebrated their “Po∤metek”, also known as the “Halfway Ball”, a special commemoration to acknowledge and honor finishing three out the six total years of medical studies.
Student life can be known to be challenging with balancing class schedules, studying for exams, practicals, internships, getting involved with university projects, research, clubs and much more! After three years of inputting many hours of work and energy into their studies, a night filled with dancing, music, fun and friends allowed these students a pause to toast to their accomplishments and all that is to come during the next remaining three years.
And that is exactly what a small group of 4th year students organized independently, a dedicated event for their year, done every year, keeping up a small tradition for all future students of WMU.
The celebration took place during the start of the summer semester at the Business Garden in Wroclaw, an open space which has already served other years for their Halfway Ball. On the dance floor and under colourful lights, the students went all out for the occasion, dressing up formally in suits, tuxedos, and stunning formal gowns!
I hear it was an evening to remember, an evening that not only celebrated university accomplishments, but also the friendships forged over long nights of studying and nights out, during breaks and classes.
Keep doing what you are doing, it could not have been too wrong, for you have made it this far already!
