The new semester brings the same old problems of crowded changing rooms in Borowska.
With everyone starting at the same time in the morning, no matter how early you turn up, you are never able to get a locker room and have to change in the mids of too many people?
Feels like this is the Borowska changing rooms?
Due to the limited lockers and space in the changing rooms, this has always been a problem. For younger students: The left (smaller) room has only been added about a year ago 😉 So it is improving!
We understand, that cultural differences are making it impossible for some students to change under these condictions, others are simply not comfortable with it.
The resulting change-at-home and come-in-scrubs is technically not the intended hygienic way.
Here are our solutions to you:
Jana Pawla II lecture hall
Upon entering the lecture hall Jana Pawla II in Borowska, there is an entire empty(!) changing room.
Moreover, they have cabins if you don’t feel comfortable to change in front of others!
How do you get to Jana Pawla II lecture hall?
– You may either enter through the outside door:
Pass the main hospital entrance and walk along the parking lot to another
Take down the flight of stairs, go thorugh the door and marvel!

– getting there from the main changing rooms:
Simply follow the yellow lines on the floor!
You will see them once you get to the first elevators (in the building B). Turn left and look out for signs of ‘Audytorium Im. Jana Pawla II’
Pediatrics hemoonco clinic
There are also gendered locker rooms in the Przyladek clinic (peds hemonco), and students were allowed to use these rooms in the past. This is not that official though, so if you plan to do this on a regular basis, you might ask the (super nice and english speaking sekretary!) about it. Ground floor. When standing in main lobby of Peds Onco Clinic, you will see the reception. Take the door to the left, leading into the corridor. You will pass the secretary to your left and an atrium to your right. The hallway takes a right turn, with the seminar room, information board for students and the changing rooms ( ‘Szatnia studentów’ room 0.089).
How do you get to Przyladek clinic (peds hemoonco)?
Everyone who’s had pediatric oncology or hematology already would know, but sometimes we all get lost in this huge hospital 😉 There is a long underground corridor which runs to the seperate building of pediatrics behind the main clinic. You could also get there from the other side, taking the tram to the tram stop ‘Weigla Szpital’ and avoid the busy commute to ‘Dzialkowa’.

On the bright side…
… There are more lockers coming! They will be of the electronic type – like you know them from the library building – and will keep you things safe 🙂
